I loved working through this course, the videos and written material were both very in-depth and worked well together. All the tips and quanity information was much appreciated. having Thao answer questions in timely manner was also great and the Facebook group could help with questions too, would highly recommend

Before I found this course, I was struggling to get a sharp and crumbless finish on my cakes. I looked everywhere, but couldn’t find any tutorials or recipes that included everything I needed. I was pretty clueless about everything, from what size cake pan and how much batter and icing to what type of icing I should even use. Every blog and website said something different and nothing told me how to make a modern, bespoke buttercream cake. I found Don’t Tell Charles via Instagram, and loved their modern style of cakes. I then saw that they offered courses, and knew that I had to try it. Buttercream Mastery tells you everything you need to know to make beautiful cakes. Everything. I was so stumped on how to get sharp edges and modern finishes on my cakes, but thanks to Thao’s class, I’m now in the know! I feel so empowered now to experiment and develop my own style informed by the techniques taught in this course. My favorites: marbled chocolate sails and watercolor buttercream. Not to mention how clearly the base cake and buttercream techniques are explained. You won’t be disappointed!

I have enjoyed this course and gained so much knowledge in creating smooth sides & sharp edges on my cakes. All the tips and tricks are so valuable and I already feel more confident. I love the chocolate designs and watercolour cake chapters, such a lovely addition to any cake. The vanilla cake recipe supplied is delicious and wonderful for stacking a perfect cake! I’ve had lots of compliments. The buttercream recipe is not only delicious too but so easy to work with to create a perfectly smooth cake. Also, love the support offered by the facebook group and opportunity to get any issues or questions answered. Thank you so much!
